Benjamin Smith
I am an experienced disputes practitioner advising on all aspects of commercial and civil dispute resolution. My practice spans litigation and arbitration on complex national, cross-border, and multijurisdictional disputes. I support a wide range of clients across a broad spectrum of sectors, consistently guiding industry leading stakeholders and organisations to the resolution of their most sensitive issues. My work has been described as "tireless" and "fantastic." My experience is complemented by two in-house secondments at Sky UK (Litigation and Anti-Piracy) and Tesco (Product Legal), giving me a true understanding of the client's perspective which I use to tailor advice and strategy. It also means I empathise with how tough my client's role is, especially when it comes to contentious matters. I am also the founder of the Rising Lawyers' Society (a network for junior in-house lawyers) and a committee member of the Junior Division of the London Solicitors Litigation Association (the professional association for litigators in the UK and abroad) - do reach out if you are interested in either. I was shortlisted for the 2023 "Rising Star of the Year" by the Access Legal Modern Law Awards.
