I specialise in property disputes, advising and litigating the full range of commercial and residential property and land disputes. For over 16 years, I have represented ultra-high-net worth and high net-worth individuals, private investors and small to medium size property companies. I am often instructed early on to discuss my clients’ commercial objectives, devise a strategy with them and then implement it, sometimes with litigation. I am often asked to advise on development issues such as restrictive covenants, rights to light, seeking possession from protected tenants and easements, as well as contested joint venture agreements and shareholder disputes. I enjoy being asked proactively to problem solve situations for my clients and the personal relationships that I have managed to develop with them. I also regularly assist clients to protect their property portfolios and, through this, have developed a deep understanding of a broad range of property management issues including possessions, arrears, dilapidations and contested consents. I represent clients in court, tribunals, arbitrations and adjudications and particularly enjoy engaging in complex settlement discussions, thinking laterally and sometimes outside of the main issues in dispute to find a commercially acceptable resolution to clients’ problems.
