About
Ionic Legal is a UK based intellectual property and technology boutique founded by two leading IP lawyers, Paul Cox and Roy Crozier, in 2024. Paul and Roy have over 50 years combined IP experience having worked in major international and national law firms and acting for some of the largest brands in the world. Their vision was to establish a law firm which had strong values (openness, trust, friendship, loyalty and fairness) and establishes and maintains the strongest possible bonds between partners, employees and clients. All the senior people and partners have worked together for many years and are close friends. The firm is very responsive and provides straightforward, direct, honest and commercially driven advice. We understand clients’ businesses and objectives and assist them in protecting and growing their businesses. We don’t just aim to be the client’s legal counsel, we strive to become trusted advisors, building long-term partnerships with our clients. As a firm, we do not have the cost base of many other law firms but still have the knowledge and experience of many larger firms, and so we are in a position to provide highly technical work for much better value. The work we do for clients has direct partner involvement and is often partner led. Our commitment to responsiveness is unwavering – emails are answered within 24 hours, and our communication is always in plain English, ensuring clarity and understanding every step of the way. Ionic Legal acts for a wide variety of clients from small to large international companies and businesses in diverse sectors including consumer and retail, financial services, technology and space. The scope of our work means we regularly work with our network of overseas law firms to assist our clients with issues all around the world. Our lawyers have significant experience in dispute resolution in the UK and have acted in many cases before the Courts (IPEC and High Court), Court of Appeal and the Court of Justice for the EU, as well as settling many cases through direct negotiations or through mediation.
