Along with the corporate team, she manages the formation of new companies in the UAE’s mainland and free zones including DIFC & ADGM, as well as the compliance and maintenance of existing companies, liaising with government departments, drafting legal notices, memorandums and company policies. Raya has over 14 years of comprehensive legal experience, with a strong focus on corporate, commercial and banking laws. Her expertise extends to intellectual property, insurance, labor laws, governance, and shareholders affairs. Throughout her career, Raya has served as the head of legal Advisory Unit in two leading banks in Syria. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating complex contracts, incorporating companies, and supporting major M&A and capital increase transactions. Raya holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Higher Institute of Business Administration (HIBA), and a Bachelor degree in Law from Damascus University. She is also a Certified Islamic Banker, accredited by the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) in Bahrain, further enhancing her qualifications in the field of Islamic finance. · Corporate / M&A
