David Telyas advises on a broad range of matters at the cutting edge of technology and law, with a particular focus on the digital business sphere and the interface between law and technology. His clients include both large Danish and international companies, for whom he handles matters relating to online platforms, software and emerging technologies such as NFTs and artificial intelligence. David's primary areas of focus encompass data privacy and protection, intellectual property rights, consumer law, marketing law, and cookie law, particularly as these fields relate to websites, apps and other software solutions. Emelie Svensson is managing the portfolio of well-known trademarks, from the field of luxury goods and motor vehicles, to the largest players in the entertainment business and film producers. She specializes in European Business Law with an expert knowledge of Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law. She mainly handles international intellectual property disputes where she advises, negotiates and litigates on behalf of well-known global firms throughout Scandinavia. Emelie is specialized in providing IP services in all aspects, all from protecting a trademark portfolio online, handling oppositions, dealing with tech law in respect to filesharing and copyright and by safeguarding clients right the adverting field in addition to advising in the pharmaceutical sector. She assists Swedish and Danish companies in cross-border matters as the only Swedish qualified lawyer working in Denmark and as Board Member of Øresundsadvokater. Emil Brockstedt Marburger advises private companies and public institutions on all aspects of data protection/GDPR, including data protection law analyses, data mapping, compliance projects, risk assessments, data transfers, contracts, supplier audits, and more. He also has extensive experience in handling cyberattacks, not only from a legal perspective but also with a strong focus on and understanding of the practical and administrative aspects that naturally arise in the aftermath of cyber incidents, including, for example, communicative and strategic challenges. In this context, Emil is also engaged in proactive cyber regulation and related legal issues, particularly regarding obligations and challenges arising from NIS2, DORA, and the Cyber Resilience Act. Building on compliance-related aspects, Emil is increasingly engaged in the new digital regulatory framework, especially the AI Act, as well as other regulations such as the Data Act, the Data Governance Act, and the European Health Data Space. Emil is a partner in our Banking and Finance team. Emil focuses primarily on financial regulation and offers advice in that regard, particularly to banks, asset managers, pension funds, and investment funds. His experiences cover particularly complex transactions and contract structures, which often involve cross-border aspects. Emil has worked on several financial undertaking investigations and has extensive experience in assisting with the handling of various enforcement cases, as well as matters concerning breaches of Danish financial regulation, liability, and managerial responsibility. Further, Emil assists clients on an ongoing basis with material projects such as the establishment of financial undertakings or investment funds (AIFs and UCITS), purchases or sales of financial undertakings, larger reorganisations or restructurings, and implementation projects in respect of new financial regulation. Emil also has extensive experience advising on and negotiating contracts for dealing derivatives and commodities (natural gas, electricity, and oil). He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Copenhagen. Emil is a director in our Banking and Finance team. He specialises in financial regulation and lending transactions. Emil advises financial institutions, asset managers and other regulated financial entities on regulatory matters, e.g., obtainment of authorisation and cross-border registrations, remuneration programs, marketing rules, management fitness and propriety, etc. He has advised large Nordic financial institutions under investigation by the Danish FSA for regulatory non-compliance. Emil also advises lenders and borrowers with domestic and cross-border financing transactions, in particular corporate lending and project and asset financing, including renewable energy projects. Emil holds a Master of Laws degree from Aarhus University and a Master of Law from the University of Cambridge. He has previous work experience from other leading Danish law firms and the European Investment Bank. Emil is mostly involved in matters which can only be successfully handled through a strong cooperation with clients, other advisors and colleagues from the Banking and Finance team and other Plesner teams. Emil is a partner in Plesner's Litigation and IP team. Emily has considerable experience advising both issuers and underwriters, including on matters relating to high yield bond issuances and capital restructurings.
