She frequently handles high-profile investigations brought by the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS OIG), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Prior to entering private practice, Terra served as an Assistant US Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois, and most recently, as a Deputy Chief. In these roles, she tried more than a dozen federal criminal cases and led numerous investigations. She also briefed and argued matters before the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Since entering private practice, Terra has handled dozens of matters on behalf of some of the world’s leading healthcare and life sciences companies and individual executives. Outside of the firm, Terra serves as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
