Amanda Hollis is an intellectual property litigator and partner in Kirkland’s Chicago office. Her practice includes all areas of technology, including biotechnology, medical devices, chemistry, computing and electronics, and her clients have included some of the nation’s largest companies, such as Abbott Laboratories, Pfizer, Baxter, Teva, C.R. Amanda H. Nussbaum is the chair of Proskauer's Tax Department as well as a member of the Private Funds Group. Her practice concentrates on planning for and the structuring of domestic and international private investment funds, including venture capital, buyout, real estate and hedge funds, as well as advising those funds on investment activities and operational issues. She also represents many types of investors, including tax-exempt and non-U.S. investors, with their investments in private investment funds. Amanda has significant experience structuring taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and stock and debt offerings. She also counsels both sports teams and sports leagues with a broad range of tax issues. Amanda Rice's practice focuses on appellate advocacy, critical motions, and difficult legal questions. Amanda is a skilled brief writer with a sharp pen and a strategic eye. She has particular experience in the U.S. Supreme Court, where she has played a primary role in drafting many merits briefs, several successful petitions for certiorari, and a number of significant amicus briefs. She has also drafted scores of winning briefs filed in federal and state appellate courts. And she regularly leads legal strategy and substantive motion practice in trial courts. Amanda Sonneborn is a partner in the Labor and Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP and is Co-Chair of the Chicago L&E Department and former chair of the ERISA & Employee Benefits Litigation Practice Group.
